Since its establishment in 1983, Cleopatra Group has been committed towards corporate social responsibility, spurring a wheel of change and development in its surrounding community. In 2001, Cleopatra Group established an independent social institution named “Abou El Enein Social Institution”.

Mr. Abou El Enein was trying to build a momentum behind Abou El Enein Foundation as he believed that the future resides in those younger generations and the only way to build up the community is out-innovating, out-educating and out-building our youth. Abou El Enein Institution gave priority to the development of education and literacy, in addition to its contribution to the improvement of health care, and the establishment of small and micro-enterprises for women with the lowest income.

Abou El Enein Foundation Commendations

As a result to these pioneering efforts, Abou El Enein Social Institution was chosen as:

  • The official sponsor of literacy at Giza Governorate.
  • The official charitable sponsor for blood donation campaigns in favor of the Cancer Institute.
  • The focal Assembly for the hotline project (Children at Risk) in Giza.

Acknowledgments of Mr. Abou El Enein social role

  • Awarded by “Middle East Broadcasting Network” referendum held in 2000 and 2001 as “The best businessman with regards to community service”.
  • Honored by the American University in Cairo in recognition for his community role.
  • Honored by “57357 Hospital for Children’s Cancer Treatment”, as one of the pioneers in supporting the hospital, starting when it was just an idea until it became a global medical monument.
  • Honored by Her Excellency the Minister of Social Solidarity in recognition of the efforts of Sada El-Balad Network Channels in anti-addiction.

The Foundation Core Pillars

Youth Empowerment

The Foundation established an industrial school aiming to youth empowerment and technical training both at home and abroad. The purpose is to ensure better work opportunities for the employees through their strengthened technical competitive edges in the employment market.

Health Care

Health care is one of the most pressuring issue addressing the Egyptian society. Abou El Enein Foundation has come forth to take strategic endeavors to support national causes in the health arena supporting the well-being of the less privileged segments of the Egyptian society. The foundation is supporting health issues not only via donations and medical convoys but also by expanding clinics to lower income people.



  • Abou El Enein, head of the Board of Directors of Social Foundation, headed a medical convoy including all medical specialties on July, the 6th and the 7th 2009, in front of Mr. Mohamed M. Abou El Enein’s office to serve the citizens of El Bahr El Azam Street, next to the bridge’s southern ring of Giza. And the convoy witnessed a tremendous turnout of citizens.
  • Abou El Enein Foundation decided to contribute £ 150,000 for 25 cornea grafting in aid of poor patients, in collaboration with the Rotary Club and Al Noor Association Moroccan charity.
  • The Children's Cancer Hospital 57357 honored Mr. Mohamed Abou El Enein, chairman of Abou El Enein Social Foundation and head of Cleopatra Group, in recognition of his social role and his large contributions in the hospital and supporting the program since its beginning up till now.

Women Empowerment

The Foundation’s contribution in support of women has been achieved through the establishment of small and micro-enterprises for women with the lowest income to ensure, thus supporting job proliferation for them and securing viable sources for sustainable income and their skill set development.

Education
