Mohamed M. Abou El Enein, honorary president of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament and president of the Egyptian-European Business Council, said that Italian MPs had a feeling that there are foreign powers manipulating the Egyptian-Italian ties, which made many of them convinced of the importance of convergence between the two countries throughout their historic ties, agreeing that they will all support pacification but they insist on knowing the truth to maintain the historic relations between the two countries.
Abou El Enein discussed, in his interview with Ahmed Moussa, TV host of “Ala Masoulity” program on Sada El Balad, his visit to Italy and meeting a number of Italian Senators mentioning that haters are always trying to make up stories and they started telling the media these stories to smear the reputation of the Egyptian security, but Italians are aware that these messages and stories are fake.
The honorary president of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament pointed that the Italian senators are convinced of the Egyptian government’s innocence of the accusations related to Regeni’s murder, specially that the accident happened at the time when Egypt was opening its arms for new Italian investments.
