On Wednesday, Parliament Deputy Speaker MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian artists and intellectuals for the contributions they always make for the sake of Egypt.
Describing them as Egypt’s ‘soft power’, Abou El-Enein stressed that artists will always present many and many historical and timeless works.
“Egypt enjoys a significant cultural heritage thanks to their works,” he continued, pointing out that many of them presented global artistic works and won awards, like, Egyptian novelist and first Arab Nobel laureate
Naguib Mahfouz.
“Artists represent heritage and civilization,” the lawmaker stressed, adding that parliament will play a key role in supporting the soft powers and make good use of the creative energies to benefit Egypt at home and abroad.
