Lucio Barany, Italian MP and Senator of the Liberal Popular Alliance Bloc, said that he is a friend of Egypt mentioning that he visited it several times where he went to Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada to watch monuments that belongs to three thousand years ago.
He added in his meeting with Mohamed Abou El Enein, honorary president of the Euro-Mediterranean parliament and president of the Egyptian European council” As a senator of the most important group of the Italian parliament, that has an effective word in the majority of Renzi’s government, we can see that someone wanted, through Regini’s murder, to spoil the cultural, political and social relations, especially the economic relations between Italy and Egypt” describing Regini’s murder as “Ugly” and “coward”.
Barany said during his meeting with Mohamed Abou El Enein, broadcasted on “Sada El Balad” channel, that Regini’s planned killing was terrible, I do not wish this happening to anyone to anyone, but they did it for political and economic reasons.
Senator Lucio Barani of the Liberal Popular Alliance Bloc added “a large number of MPs in addition to our group, are all convinced that the government and its president Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi are not involved in the case, but we realize that we need to know the truth, we need to unveil the hostile groups, haters of the Egyptian government and groups allied with economic powers of other countries, I do not call it homelands, but other economic powers that want to make use of the economic agreements with Egypt instead of Italy.
Senator of the Italian Liberal Popular Alliance Bloc, I am willing to say this to the whole world, Italians and Egyptian, Regini’s body was placed right in the middle of the path of the economic relations between Egypt and Italy in a very strategic timing, when the two countries were working on deepening their relations, but its clear that these who sewed the conspiracy are trying to make a show and spoil these relations.
Lucio explained” I am totally convinced that the Italian judiciary, Italian government and our minister of foreign affairs must demand documents from the Egyptian investigation authorities, judiciary and government and I am sure that the Egyptian government will be supportive and will provide all required documents , explaining that his country’s demand to get millions of Egyptians’ call logs in Arabic is illogical and if million of phone calls in Arabic where handed to the Italian judiciary it would take years to analyze them, in addition, the Egyptian constitution bans this. Egypt is an independent country and no power can force it to do anything.
