Senator, Francesco Amoroso, member of the Italian parliament and former president of the Euro-Mediterranean parliament, affirmed “The Egyptian Italian relations are deep and rigid” mentioning that he “Thinks that despite these events related to the Egyptian-Italian relations, we all, Egyptians and Italians, have to work hardly to boost the relations between both countries and people towards a better future and not to move backwards”.
Senator Amoroso wondered during his meeting with Abou El Enein, honorary president of Euro-Mediterranean parliament and president of the Egyptian European council, who would be targeting the Egyptian Italian relations pointing that we should never give the the chance for that.
Amoroso spoke about the discussion that went in the Italian parliament ten days ago mentioning that “they are really concerned to unveil the truth while assuring the deep relations between both countries”, he said that “during the meeting Egyptian friends asked to work on showing the truth and justice in Regini’s murder as it’s the people’s right to get justice and to unveil the truth, but it’s also important that this case wouldn’t spoil the friendly relation and strong cooperation between both countries.”
Senator Amoroso affirmed” we are sure that the Egyptian government can’t be involved in this case, that’s why we ask our friend president El-Sisi and our Egyptian friends to do their best to unveil the truth, I am sure that Egyptian friends will show strong commitment to this matter”
