Prominent businessman and honorary President of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament Mohammed Abou El-Enein said Sunday in a statement to Sada El Balad news portal that Pope Francis’ visit to Egypt represents a great appreciation to the country’s political leadership.
Abou El-Enein stressed that the visit also reflects the pope’s utmost appreciation to the country’s role in combating terrorism، pointing out that the world realized that Egypt is fighting terrorism on its own، defending the other countries of world against extremism، during the past period.
He called upon the international community to rally behind Egypt and stand with the country، in order to aid Egypt in its fight against terrorism and succeed in eradicating its roots.
