Abou El-Enein :
Businessman Mohamed Abou El Enein, Honorary President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and President of the Arab Investors Union, participated in the first Arab-African Economic Conference.
Prominent businessman Mohamed Abou El Enein, Head of the Arab Investors Union chaired on Wednesday the activities of the 51st ordinary meeting of the specialized Arab federations, on the sidelines of the 1st Arab-African Economic conference, hosted in Cairo.
The session was attended by managing director of Privately-owned TV channel Sada ElBalad Elham Abul Fateh.
The platform reviewed the implementation of the recommendations of the previous session, held in Cairo on 12 and 13 June 2019.
Moreover, the session also tackled the specialized Arab Federations’ vision regarding sustainable development goals. They will also consider the activities and achievements of the Arab Unions for 2018-2019 as well as the plan of action for 2020.
In addition, the meeting discussed the date and venue of the next 52nd ordinary meeting of the specialized Arab federations.
It is worth mentioning that, the 1st Arab-African Economic Forum is organized by Arab Economic Unity Council.
The conference seeks to achieve economic integration between Arab and African countries and promote cooperation between them through the implementation of joint programs and projects in various developmental areas, as well as encouraging the private sector to invest in industrial and agricultural sectors.
The event tackles the challenges facing Arab-African investments and ways to promote Arab-African trade.
Moreover, the gathering addresses the Arab-African food security (agriculture sector), the size of the food gap in the Arab and African countries, Arab investment opportunities in the development of the African agricultural sector, in addition to reviewing success stories related to the Arab-African cooperation in the agricultural sector as well as manufacturing and water problem.
