On Tuesday, Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein called on Yemeni businessmen to invest in Egypt. He said that Egypt is welcoming and a great incubator to attract Yemeni investments and within the Egyptian business community.
During his speech at the celebrations of the Yemeni Business Council in Egypt, on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of its founding, Abou El-Enein added: “Egypt is a promising market for investment in various fields, especially in light of the construction boom that the country is witnessing during the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He said that Egypt welcomes investment in various fields by Yemeni investors.
He stressed that the Egyptian investor and the Arab and foreign investors are treated in the same way, and there is no distinction between them. He added that Egypt offers great facilities for investment in all fields.
Egypt tended to amend laws, remove obstacles and reduce taxes and customs to encourage Yemeni and Arab investment in Egypt, which encouraged Yemeni investors to increase their investments in Egypt.
The ceremony was attended by Muhammad Ali al-Mujahid, Chairman of the Egyptian-Yemeni Business Council, the Yemeni Ambassador to Cairo Muhammad Ali Marem, and Major General Ahmed Rashid, the Governor of Giza.
Abou El-Enein expressed his happiness for his participation in the great honorary and artistic ceremony organized by the Yemeni Business Council in Egypt, on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of its founding and coinciding with Yemen’s celebrations of the 32nd National Day of the Republic of Yemen.
The Egyptian MP congratulated the leadership, government, people and parliament of Yemen on the occasion of the National Day of Yemen, wishing success and payment for Yemen to complete the transitional phase and to cross Yemen to safety and achieve unity and stability. Abou El-Enein sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi, and members of the Yemeni Presidential Council.
Abou El-Enein confirmed that the relations between the two peoples are long-term, and Egypt fully supports Yemen and seeks to achieve peace in this country known for its ancient culture and honorable history.
Abou El-Enein said that the security of Yemen and the Gulf is part of the security of Egypt. “Egypt is open to Yemen, and the Egyptian investment markets are open to all investors around the world.”
He explained that Yemeni investment in Egypt is a promising and profitable investment that preserves capital until the situation stabilizes and the war in Yemen ends. “There is an increase in trade exchange and investment participation between the two countries and Yemeni and Egyptian investors.”
He pointed out that the Egyptian parliament worked on amending economic laws to remove all complications and obstacles and to find solutions to all past investment problems to achieve common development. He added that Parliament has a legislative and oversight role in cooperation with the Egyptian government to overcome all obstacles and face the challenges facing Egyptian and Arab investors while providing facilities and incentives to attract investment.
Abou El-Enein quoted the late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser’s speech when he said, “Great pain builds great nations.” He confirmed that the June 30 revolution revived hope and broke the ambitions of those who want to dismantle countries.
The Egyptian MP said: “Today, we wish the Yemeni people a quick return to a peaceful and peaceful life. Yemen will certainly pass this difficult period in its contemporary history and will be an ally of victory on all levels and on all fronts, and the signs of that revival appeared in all fields.
The Egyptian representative valued the good steps taken by the council during the last period and its success in forming an official umbrella for Yemeni businessmen and investors in Egypt. He stressed that Yemeni investors in Egypt enjoy appreciation and special care and that all facilities are provided to them.
Abou El-Enein said that as a result of a large number of Yemeni merchants, the Yemeni Traders Business Council was formed in Cairo, as an official body that sponsors Yemeni commercial interests and investment activities in Egypt and supports and strengthens commercial and industrial relations between Yemeni and Egyptian businessmen.
He stressed that Egypt and Yemen have a very long record of bilateral trade relations between the two counties, affirming the keenness of the Egyptian businessmen to strengthen the bonds of cooperation in a way that serves the higher interest of the Egyptian and Yemeni peoples.
Abou El-Enein confirmed that all investors, especially Yemeni and Arab investors, are warmly welcomed to pump investments in various fields in Egypt. He stressed the need to discuss areas of joint cooperation and investment opportunities available in various projects in Egypt, and to provide all facilities to the Yemeni Business Council in Egypt.
The deputy speaker also emphasized the importance of encouraging Yemeni investors to launch new projects in various fields in the new cities, and arranging meetings with officials of various Egyptian ministries to present investment opportunities available for the partnership of Yemeni investors.
The prominent businessman hailed the urban renaissance that Egypt is witnessing under the reign of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who outlined the features of the new republic and opened the doors to investors from outside Egypt in various fields with the aim of opening new horizons, for investors and Arab businessmen to invest in Egypt, establish new projects in various fields and provide all Facilitate for them in cooperation with the competent authorities.
On his part, Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, expressed his appreciation for his invitation to attend the ceremony for honoring the Egyptian and Yemeni authorities and personalities that supported the formation of the Yemeni Business Council in Egypt.
Major General Ahmed Rashid said that the relations of Egypt and Yemen have been blessed since ancient times with strong civilized relations that extend for hundreds of years, and this was confirmed by the successive leaders and governments of our two countries, not only out of love and brotherhood between our two peoples, but also out of the historical relations that are supported by the support of each country to the other in times of crisis.
He pointed out that Egypt has provided a helping hand to the brotherly Yemeni people in various fields to support their development and bring the views between the warring various parties, in order to support the unity and stability of Yemen after a long period of turmoil that followed the revolutions of the Arab Spring.
Mohammed Ali Marem, the Yemeni ambassador in Cairo, praised the speech of Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein, who urged the Yemeni people to push forward the Yemeni economy, stressing that Egypt has opened its doors wide to all Yemeni investors.
