Chairman of Egyptian-Portuguese Business Council, and honorary Speaker of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament, Prominent Businessman Mohammed Abou El-Enein called on the Egyptian companies to cooperate with the Portuguese side to strengthen ties between Egypt and Portugal.
Abou El-Enein affirms that Egypt, and Portugal leaders look forward to enhancing the mutual relations between the two countries, and pushing the economic ties to higher levels.
In an official statement, issued on Monday, Abou El-Enein said that there are good opportunities for investors in industries of leather, textiles, store wears, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture and vehicles.
He stressed that investors could benefit from Portuguese logistic centers and sea ports.
He also said that the Portuguese businesses could use Egypt’s ports to enter markets of east Africa and the Arab world.
He further said that a direct marine line between the Egyptian and Portuguese ports will attain dual benefits to the two states.
He indicated that cooperation with Portugal enables the Egyptian companies to market products in western Africa, Latin America and the European Union.
