Businessman Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Honorary President of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), praised president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi’s role in responding to the US decision on Jerusalem, Stressing that the Egyptian moves were remarkable at all levels, whether at the political level or at the level of Al-Azhar Al Sharif.
Businessman Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Honorary President of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) expressed his appreciation to Al Azhar And Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb for the efforts exerted at “in support of Jerusalem” conference, stressing that the conference was a scientific, cultural and political dose witnessed by the whole world.
It is necessary to develop a plan of action in the future, so as not to waste the effort exerted at the conference, Abou El-Enein added in a statement to Sabah El Balad program broadcasted on Sada ElBalad satellite channel.
The world should know that the conference is a beginning of the revolution of anger against the American decision on Jerusalem, the prominent businessman added.
He also asked Al-Azhar to hold seminars in America and European countries to put political pressure on them.
“We will not give up Jerusalem, it is a sacred part for us and giving up it represents a large historical mistake”, Abou Enin assured, stressing that the coming period is very important to complete the outcome of the conference.
Egypt exerted a lot of efforts for the sake of the Palestinian cause, Abou El-Enein added in a statement to Sabah El Balad program broadcasted on Sada ElBalad satellite channel. He also appealed to the leaders of the Arab nation to unite.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump recognized in a much-anticipated announcement Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Trump also announced that he had directed the State Department to begin preparations to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the UN General Assembly adopted by a decisive vote of 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions, a motion rejecting the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
